ok thanks marcus, does anyone no any good breeding tips
Just add water...!!
They quite easy to breed...unfortunately eggs and fry are eaten quickly.
My advice...when you notice female becoming thickset and ready to scatter her eggs add the adults to a shallow, bare aquarium with a breeder net (that way you can see the eggs falling to the bottom). Or make one with egg grate or something, as long as the adults cant get to the eggs. Also go with 2 males and 1 female.
Have a look at your filter system as it would most likely suck up the eggs and fry, so keep that in mind. I personally go without a filter system as the adults are in there for 2 days max. Just add dechlorinated water daily and you should be fine.
After spawning...remove the adults and the breeder net and start feeding the fry infusoria after they become free swimming. Some LPS also stock powder egglayer food that you could try.
Good luck
