Here is a list of some plants you can try.

Will grow on wood and rocks
Java Moss (Vesicularia dubyana)
Java Fern (Microsorum pteropus)
Windelov´s Fern (Microsorum pteropus 'Windelov').
Anubias
Plant in gravel or sand
Green Wendtii Crypt (Cryptocoryne wendtii 'green')
Brown Wendtii Crypt (Cryptocoryne wendtii)
Elodea (Egeria Densa) Can also be floating. Could use a little more light, but can live and reproduce in low light conditions.
Water Sprite (Ceratopteris thalictroides) Can also be floating
Vallis Nana
Temple plant, Starhorn or Giant Hygro (Hygrophila Corymbosa)
Aponogeton Crispus plec eats sometimes
Stargrass (Eicchornia Azuria) this is a tall stem plant that as it reaches the surface changes leaf type to become more of a floating plant
Floating plant`s you can use. They can get in the way of feeding, and will need to be thinned out often.
Duckweed (Lemna sp.)
Water Lettuce (Pistia stratiotes) gets big.
Eared Watermoss (Salvinia auriculata)

Hydrocotyle leucocephala ( pennywort... easy plant ) and Hemianthus micranthemoides ( pearlweed ) are 2 more that can either be a rooted or floating plant in your aquarium.

One point of advice: When i had floating plants, a lot of dirt and foodremains kept accumulating in the roots of those plants.
I didn't seee the plants, i just saw dirty roots all the time, and it was very annoying.
So i took all of them out.
Plus one downside with floating plants in a heavy current oscartank was, that the plants kept floating into the outlet of my sump, clogging that outlet .

So choose carefully what you put into the tank!
I have some floating plastic plants in some of my tanks now, and the current keeps them at the surface level, without the dirt getting caught in the roots.
