preppergirl created the topic: house plants in the tank

I have been thinking about putting in some live plants to just create a better eco system for my O but didnt want to spend the money on them if archie was just going to rip them up. So I took a couple of cuttings of a house plant called pothos and its doing great . It is growing a lot of roots and its totaly submerged. It also is not being bothered by the fish. Took a water reading and every thing came out as it usualy does Good even my nitrate was at 10ppm. Was this a stupid thing to do?

I'm not sure if that's a good idea. I know that the leaves are toxic to house pets ( dogs & cats ) I also know from experience in rooting cuttings of these, if the leaves are submerged in water for too long, they will rot. I know that many people grow them in Betta vases and in HOB filters, but that is only the root of the plant not the whole thing.
