I bought a potted one at petsmart, the fishy lady didn't seem to know if it would be okay in an oscar tank.. so far they have been checking it out.

nice, leme know how that works out for ya, i just bought some java moss (in a ball, ie fake japanese moss ball), and a genuine japanese moss ball, and so far the only thing in my tank thats got any intrest in it at all is my ilttle snail. they could care less abuot the java but the snail seems to be snacking on the jap stuff... 10 bucks i paid for it.. i wont see it become food for a 2 dollar snail.

where'd you get the rocks from? if you don't mind me asking... i've put those glass rocks in mine.. a mixture of blue/green.. i want something more natural.

walmart, 25lb bag for like 8 bucks or somethin i forget.

stuff is super dusty, you gotta rinse it for like 20 minutes if you dont want your tank to be cloudy for a month lol.

I had that problem with some gravel i bought from there.. i finally got fed-up and threw it away... i kinda like these glass rocks..maybe i'll get all the blue ones out and just go green.

i wanted black... they didnt have black when i needed it.

now i wish i had sand. such is life, never satisfied with what u got lol.

oh you snuck a double reply in on me! u dirty cheater. lol.... that stuff looks great till you get algae growing on it... and its like a big reflector mirror thingy for all the light in the tank, and algae grows super thick and fast on it, as it gets ilght on the bottom side as well as the top and sides... i been thru that once before! gl with that tho lol. looks good but damn its high maintence down the road.
