As requested by some members, here's some pics of Dutch homegrown plants and i thought i better create a thread and explain some of the Dutch law as well.
Mind you, i do not want to encourage anybody to break laws.
Do not try this at home if your country does not allow it.
Holland has a legalisation policy and differentiates between soft and hard drugs.
This resolves in having coffeeshops in almost every town.
These are like weed supermarkets and the big city have them 4 stories high, with gaming rooms, pooltables, internetcafe's,loads of food and drinks and several menus with dutch and foreign hashish, prefab spliffs and endless sorts of weed.
The law states that:
- anyone above 18 can carry 5 grams of weed with him.
-the coffeeshops are allowed 200 grams of weed behind the counter at a time.
(which is never the case, for they may sell several kilos a day...)
-You can have 4 plants in your garden for your own use.(the law doesn't state their maximum size)
-The coffeeshops are not allowed to buy any weed, they can only sell.(WTF????Now how is that possible?)
-Anyone having less than 100 plants will not be prosecuted if it a first fellony.
(Only plants and equipment will be confiscated)
-Anyone having less than 1000 plants will be fined with 50 Euros a plant and equipment will be confiscated.
(Unless they have one male plant somewhere, then they can say is only to produce seeds, and their will be no cause for a lawsuit then...)
Well, you do the math and i think you cab figure out why more then 80.000 households in Holland produce their own homegrown happy weed.
If anybody asks if these plants are mine, don't worry, the evidence has gone up in smoke!
when you look at these laws, you can see they spell trouble.
If you wanna "Well, it's illegal, but we'll permit it" you can wait for the rules to bend some more.
Organized crime is taking over the biz.
More and more kids go the rehab centres for they just can't quit.
Not directly due to addiction, as for the constant availability of soft drugs.
Studies recently show that more and more kids are losing motivation and dropping out of school due to their smoking behaviour. This is new hard info, yesterday it was published, that will probably start the discussion going again.
Our bordercities get flooded with foreigners coming to buy their pot.
I'm talking 10 of thousands of people a week!
Some of these cities recently withdrew their legalisation and closed the coffeeshops.
so that's those sides to the story.
Hope it brings a little balance, before you vote for legalisation in your country!

Now, excuse me while i light my spliff!
