bassetman created the topic: Any RC flyers here?(or other RCmaniacs?)

This is my 4.5 meter Sailair Glider I've been flying this one sine 1985, I like it so much I built a second one in case I have an unrepairable incident with this one. It can soar on the lightest thermals or can be ballasted to fly on the slope lift in front of a hill or dam. It has had several flights last more than five hours. The design is from the 70s but it sure flies great to this day. That is my brothers son Finnagin next to me.

HURRAY!!!
You just read my mind, well kinda. ;)
I was just wondering to start a thread on RC gadgets in general, but this will do.
I do not have any RC planes, but had a lot of RC cars, with my Porche as best one.
But now I'm looking to get this neat Monstertruck:

This one won't fly, but once i have the money, i will buy this one. :woohoo: :woohoo:
And i hope you don't mind me, entering this into your thread. ;)

Planes boats cars helis ect I've crashed them all at one points or another. I've been RCing since the late 70s. just now I'm into planes, which were lucky to live in my storage unit or they would have been toasted by the fire.

There is less to crash into in the air, in every direction except one. B)

Anyone have this happen?

I was flying my Helicopter back in early spring. And to my surprise this big hawk attacked it. The rotor smacked the crap out of him.

Pissed him off i guess. He dove after it as i was crashing. I usually wore a hat cam but did not have it on at this time. Caused only about $30 bucks in damage. And i say only because that is pretty good for a heli crash.

"Hey Bassetman. Thats one big plane. Nice and i bet a blast to fly"

"Noddy. RC monster trucks look to cool. You will love it"

I had a sig riser 100" glider and was soaring with a hawk and accidentally bumped him....BIG mistake, he tore the fabric off the top of the wing glider entered an inverted spin...,I was able to salvage the servos and the receiver.the rest was kindling.

Nice paint work on the truck.

the Hi-start I use to launch has 18 lbs. of tension So I Like to launch as little as I can. I prefer to slope launch and thermal after that. It is an easy glider to fly but a challenge to land it hates to come down.
