I didn't realise there are a whole section for "other hobbies" so instead of taking over annete's thread I have started my own.

I have, well I should say, my boys have 3 Guinea Pigs. We have just moved here and apart from the Oscar we used to have back where we used to live our boys (3, 9 & 10) haven't had any pets so before we get a puppy or a kitten we decided Guinea Pigs would be a good start as they are fairly hardy and very cute.

Apart from pets I also like Offroad VW's like bajabugs and beach buggies. Currenly collecting part to build another one. Just sold my 71 Baja. I'm also reconditioning a 35 year old Windrush 14' catamaran. It's taking up my garage and making life difficult for my wife getting her car in and out. I'll have that done in the next week or so and we can go sailing on the lake we have just moved to. Has been 25 years since I have sailed but am looking forward to it.

Last of all i like to garden. It's summer here in Australia so the Vege garden is going nuts in the hot sun and producing heaps of tomatos, cucumbers, zuchinni, potatos, capsicums, peas and beans not to forget silverbeet and lettuce.

Thats me for my other hobbies.

Ever go fishing?
I may not always be right, but I am always the boss
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved

HOLY COW! pity on your koi.
i was told that -10 deg, running water help to
prevent water from freezing. i am not sure if
the pump will still run at that temperature.
