When nights get warmer I love to go nightfishing for carp.
We allways take a kayak to row out the lines and feed a lot.
Once I got lost at night in my kanoo at the lake i know so well by day and couldn't find my friend and our camp back...
Been lost for some hours and the lake wasn't even that big.

Once i tried to get a stuck carp out of its hidingplace in my kanoo, but forgot the paddle.
Yeah, the fish moved again and took me and my kanoo for a long way out!

are carp pest over there?
here they are, and its illegal to return them to the water.
they destroy the river the lakes!

Wow, those are huge!! What do you do with them? Eat them? Put them back?

No clue, I've never eat one but if I was gonna fight to get one that big in the boat I'd roast that fish and pig out !

Hey Noddy, those are huge. i love to slice their meat and cooked them
korean style.

it brings my memory back when i was still a boy and used to went out fishing and caught a ten footer blue marlin (sailing fish). it took me 3 hours before it tire down and hard to get back where i we came from.

No, in Holland if you take a carp out and kill it,you and your whole family will be shot.No,just kidding!
They are introduced in most lakes and are treated very well.
You need a huge net and a dehooking mat if you want to go catch carp.
In our favorite lake sometimes ew hed 16 runs in one night and catching more then ten carp a night is no exception.
Biggest we caught is a 17 KILO SPECIMEN in a small pond in the city where I live.
All caught fish have to be thrown back after catching in Holland,except for the Pike-bass, which is an super-food-fish in Holland.
Carp are the best sportsfish in Holland abd is adored here!
