Hiya,
I know stupid question for this thread...But ive had my O a few months now and every now and again i find white bubbly type of stuff around the top of the waterline on the tank. I know its not from my angels as this was happening before i put them in there. My O is approx 3 and a half inch long now. It does get a little tempermental with the other fish from time to time though. Could it mean i have a female by some fluke of a chance??? there isnt a rock or flat surface for it to do anything with as of yet... and it hasnt cleaned a spot at the bottom of the tank either... Any clue guys???
There is really no way for us to know what that is at the top of your tank, but I can tell you it does NOT mean you have a girl Oscar. Oscars don't reach sexual maturity until they are between 18-24 months. There will be no way to know until then.
