i thought my oscars had bred but im not sure as they are not very old it looked like a few eggs had been laid but around the bottom of the tank it was like a cocoon? thats all i can describe it as its like a orangey colour but all these cocoon things are all over my tank i dont know what they are?

doesn't sound like eggs to me. If you can get a photo, please post one, use photo bucket, is very easy.

sounds like uneaten food that has gotten moldy. you should probably remove those things. but b4 u do post a pic just in case. ive never had oscars breed, other fish lay hundreds of eggs

sorry i cleaned the tank and got rid but ive had oscars before and never seen anything like it however i will be keeping a eye on it to be honest the oscars are still babies thats why i wasnt sure i thought they were to young 1 is about 7 inches the other is only a bout 4 inches

next time it happens, take a photo for us. I think you are right, your Oscars sound very young, too young to bleed at the moment
