well, after over a year, I know definitely have a female red Oscar. check the photos, the breeding tube is clearly visible. I think she is now sexually mature and ready to lay eggs. she seems to be trying to coax some of the Oscars in to maybe fertilising the eggs if she does start laying. as of yet, I haven't seen any signs of a male. hopefully that won't be a long time coming

Oscar breeding

woke up this morning and the female had indeed laid some eggs. However, are not getting excited because this is the first time they have done it and I honestly don't think they know what they are doing. It might take a few more attempts before they are successful. Let's just hope there is a male in there with her. It doesn't seem very long ago since I bought these little trackers at just two a half inches long

fingers crossed, hope that the eggs get fertilized
