Hey Guys,
I need some help with my Oscars.
How big does the slate have to be for breeding Oscars? Can i use a white tile in place of a slate.

hi there the slate i would say can be about the size of a tile but i think you should ,if you do use a tile put the shiny side down so they have a bit of grip on the back,to help secure the eggs ....but i think paul uses the shiny side either way its ok ....

yap.... bgh is on spot... i do use inverted bowl and seashell.
both are being used by the fishes. put something heavy or
embedded with substrate. it should not move when oscar bulldoze
them, otherwise, they will never lay eggs on it.
