Hi all...
This is my first post in the forum. I love oscars and have 9 of them. I have an albino pair that I suspect is a couple, since the get along very well and rarely figth. They are one year old. Some people told me that albinos can“t breed. Is this true ?

I'm not aware that albinos are infertile.

a breeder friend of mine has a males lutino that he breeds with a regular tiger oscar for his stock. the broods give him a nice selection of colour variations to choose from.
Warning..I will offend you at some point!!!

i am not aware of such condition.
i believe any healthy fishes have the
capacity to reproduce. that is nature
law, unless they are genetically mutated.

TRUE albinos are occasionally infertile. Lutino oscars (most oscars sold as albino are technically lutino) are normally fine, not to long ago I had a lutino/tiger breeding pair.

At the bottom of the message box you can click Choose File and go from there, OR upload your photos to photobucket (or other image hosting site) and copy the IMG code into the message box.

Cheers,
Art

Nah, this one ignores the feeders. but eats anything else. Sometimes he locks jaws with the big lutino, I think he believes he is an oscar too ! he follows the lutinos everywhere
