Use fluval peat granules and change it every month. Raise the temp of the tank to 84F. Change 50% of the water every other day. Feed earth worms once a week. Feed pellets once a day. Provide several pieces of slate rock. Have a sponge filters in the tank. Put stockings over intake of filters when eggs show.

Good luck

Just got a reply back and the guy said that they laid eggs and hatched succesfully but he has 3 oscars in a 200g tank. Even should pics But he dont remember which one is the male doto having 2 females and 1 male.

I think im going to have to do this the old fashion way by raising them cause i dont need 3 oscars i just want the two . Cause if every egg hatches with having 2 females then im going to have like 4000 baby's and i can only imagen what taking care of them would be like .

sure he would. When one is not available ,there's always the other. Monogamy is a rare thing in nature.

It took me one oscar , and adding another oscar.
And a lot of luck...
But i only got eggs, no whigglers ever.
So it may be 2 females i have, but i am glad all is cool in my tank. :)

Plus i wouldn't know where to leave the offspring... :S

Safest bet is to buy a pair of O's that allready lay fertile eggs, but a pair like that may cost a bit more.
But that doesn't compare to a 300Gl tank... :silly:

african cichlids have harems all the time. 1 male and many females. As long as the tank is long enough, and the other female will keep its distance, it could work.
