2 days ago, my female green terror laid eggs inside a jar in the tank, today I checked, there are tiny brown things moving inside along with some white eggs.
Are those fry or parasites since they looks like small mosquitos, or just dirt moving as the female is fanning the eggs
If they were dirt or parasites shouldn't she clean it all ??

post a vid but i bet the eggs have hatched and they are now wigglers, i think the eggs gestation period is 48 hours. Here in another day or two they should be free swimming, are you ready with food for them??

Yup, get the fry food ready. Live baby brine or a finely powdered fish food, like Hikari 1st Bites(which I can highly recommend). Baby fish eat CONSTANTLY!! ;)

THOSE WHO REFUSE KNOWLEDGE ARE DOOMED TO FAIL.

WATER CHANGES ARE THE LIFEBLOOD OF THIS HOBBY. IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE SO OR SIMPLY DON'T FEEL LIKE DOING THEM, RE-HOME YOUR FISH, SELL YOUR AQUARIUM & FIND ANOTHER HOBBY, AS YOU WILL FAIL UTTERLY, COMPLETELY, & MISERABLY.

I just bought hikari first bite. The LFS advisd me to start feeding them three days later (monday)
He told me as long as parents are with them no need to put anything on filter inlets since parents will protect them, he advised me to turn off filters while feeding, I should feed them 3 times a day.

I would still highly recommend putting a sponge on the filter inlet or atleast a piece of panty hose, there is nothing wrong with a little prevention just in case

Yeah sponge works for me. I use a hob filter on my fry tank and I whittled down one of those sponges for cleaning cars (soak and rinse well before attaching). Slice and shape the outside with a blade, and snip out the inside with long, thin pointy scissors. It will slow the pump flow some but thats ok, maybe even good for the fry. Sponge works as a prefilter too.... pull it off and squeeze out in some aquarium water regularly (not tap). Good home for beneficial bacteria.

I feed my fry every 3 hours 9am to 9pm. Some species don't need feeding for up to a week after hatching. Worst thing is to destroy the water quality with uneaten food. I start with fry powder (HBH Baby Bites) then when they will take it I add ground up cichlid pellets to the mix. I wet the end of my finger, flick off excess water, then dab it into the powder, and dunk it in the aquarium with filter off (remember to turn back on after!). When they get to 25mm/1" size I feed them 0.5mm cichled pellets (New Life Spectrum).

Provided the tank is fully cycled, I do a 50% water change every week, vacuuming the sand at the same time. Fry will move away if you vigorously shower them with substrate as it falls from the vacuum tube. If I see it is getting a bit messy I will supplement a water change mid- week. If not sure just check nitrates.

Good luck with it. Fry are fun to watch and it is extremely satisfying to see an adult fish you have bred from the start. :)
