I just bought hikari first bite. The LFS advisd me to start feeding them three days later (monday)
He told me as long as parents are with them no need to put anything on filter inlets since parents will protect them, he advised me to turn off filters while feeding, I should feed them 3 times a day.

Start feeding once they start free swimming. The parents can't protect them from a filter intake(this guy sounds like a winner ). Put a sponge on the strainer. You may want to start a tank for fry; maybe a 30gl & go out & get a sponge filter to maintain water quality(you can start the cycling process by putting it in the parents tank for a few weeks) ;)

THOSE WHO REFUSE KNOWLEDGE ARE DOOMED TO FAIL.

WATER CHANGES ARE THE LIFEBLOOD OF THIS HOBBY. IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE SO OR SIMPLY DON'T FEEL LIKE DOING THEM, RE-HOME YOUR FISH, SELL YOUR AQUARIUM & FIND ANOTHER HOBBY, AS YOU WILL FAIL UTTERLY, COMPLETELY, & MISERABLY.
