Lol I'm sure this is a joke but I doubt an oscar could ever be sterile, but a flowerhorn yes. Good luck with your next spawn attempt!

If you want to try and make a quicker process sometime when you think they're ready to spawn, I would do a cooler water change, maybe feed them some frozen bloodworms or some type of random food and move around the decoration and give them some privacy and I bet it would speed up. There's a lot of little secrets that I've read from a lot of fish breeders, also I hear a waterchange during a rainstorm is another one.

Also, you didn't let the eggs come in touch with air, correct? Might be a dumb question but just making sure :laugh:

We aren't joking when we say water changes and Prime are the best solution to a problem.

That happend with my os first batch. I only ended up with 20 something fry because of this fungus. They couldn't get detached from it so they just wiggled until they died. Sucks but nothing, besides the blue stuff you guys keep talking about, you can do right?
