So right now I have the fry in their original home of 72g but they seem so lost lol, what size tank do most people use for growing out Oscar fry?

Many people will run a progressively bigger tank operation for easier frequent waterchanges. Starting them out in a smaller tank and moving them to larger ones as they grow

Well I'll be leaving them with their parents for as long as they are not at risk, just how long do oscar fish take care of their young? So I'd be needing a tank from when ever they become snack food to 1 to 2 inches lol.

It's hard to say. If they spawn again often the previous batch of fry is then seen as a threat to the new batch. The Oscars may start eating the old fry just before they spawn again

My first lot of fry I put into a 2ft tank and do a water change each day while cleaning out the debrit.
I left a bout a quarter of the fry in the parents tank but they ended up eating them and then re spawned.

My pair has been really good about not eating the fry, left the last batch of fry with them till the fry were over a half inch, only moved the parents then to get them in a bigger tank. The first batch of fry I removed due to the parents spawning again less than a week after the first batch became free swimming. Out of the first batch I have one left that is almost two inches, he ate all his siblings from that spawn. The second spawn are between .5 inches and 1 inch they are growing crazy fast eating macro pellets now. Expecting a third spawn anytime now lol, look forward to seeing how they do :)
