They might still be both females those eggs look unfertilized, its pretty common in alot of cichlids for two females to pair and lay

They have definitely been fertilized. All of them are that nice tan color. I can see now which is which sex now too.

It will stay tan for 2 days, on the 3rd day is when you will see them turn white if unfertilized.

Ended up pulling the eggs after 2 days because I had to add another fish. They still beat the crap out of it. Maybe I'll commit if they lay again.

Curious......why would you add another fish to a breeding pair of cichlids? That's tantamount to a death sentence..... :pinch:

THOSE WHO REFUSE KNOWLEDGE ARE DOOMED TO FAIL.

WATER CHANGES ARE THE LIFEBLOOD OF THIS HOBBY. IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE SO OR SIMPLY DON'T FEEL LIKE DOING THEM, RE-HOME YOUR FISH, SELL YOUR AQUARIUM & FIND ANOTHER HOBBY, AS YOU WILL FAIL UTTERLY, COMPLETELY, & MISERABLY.
