as a new member I have read many posts as to getting oscars to lay eggs. My oscars have laid eggs at least 10 times in the last 6 months. I'm worried that they will wear themselves out. They laid again yesterday, its only been 2 weeks since the last attempt. they(eggs) normally last 3 days and then they are gone. I suspect they are unfertile they seem to stay white. Should I worry about the frequency of the egg laying

Are those your Oscars and eggs in your Avitar???? If so, those eggs look fertilized to me... It will take them a few times of laying eggs before they survive... Give it time and see what happens...

Yes took the pics this morn, Should I worry that they will wear themselves out? Other wise they seem healthy and they do eat after they eat the eggs.

They will be fine... My Jag cichlids did the same thing, and now it has been a while sense they have laid again... They will get it together, but as long as they are eating and acting normal, I wouldn't worry!

I only wish I could get my Koi to lay eggs like these guys! Thankyou for the info

Check your tank carefully... Your last post was 4 days ago and that means they should have hatched.. Perhaps overnight...They should be little tiny wigglers with egg sacks today...

Wouldn't it be a great way to go! No there isn't any little ones swimming around. So they will be at it again in a few weeks. I'd settle for once a month if I could get it. Lucky Oscars
