My 2 albino oscars have always since i got them been close always together and never leave each others sides. My two black tigers are not like that at all.
So do you think they could mate?
Im new to oscars and when i told the woman down the fish shop about them she nearly wet herself saying if i dont want them shel buy them off me?
Am i missing something? what is so good about them if they mate?
And if they do who do i sell them to?

they lay like 3000 eggs at a time man. that could be say even if you sold fry for 50 cents a piece after you grow them out to 3/4inch thats 1500 bucks man. (assuming all fry live, and in a breeder tank with nothing else in it, most do live).

they sell for 12-15 bucks for babies around here. thats EACH.
as a pet store owner they want that free income.

If you want a breeding pair of oscars it would be easier just to buy a pair, and you dont see them for sale often. So maybe she just wants a breeding pair

Or maybe she is like us lot of here and just LOVES oscars !!!!!!!!!!

If they are gonna mate, it means you got a pair.
That means you can keep them together for life (If your tank is big enough)without them killing or hurting each other.

i would love it if i had a pair that would breed. they lay 3000 eggs at a time or so and 1" oscars sell for around 12-20 dollars each here... one batch of fry could pay for your fish and your tank if you could find homes for them all.
