i recently placed my female tiger oscar in with my lutino oscar to elleviate some hostilities in my other oscar tank and lo and behold it looks like love is in the air.

here are a couple of pics of them spawning....i guess you could call it fishy porn...










they were still circling, laying and fertilizing as i took the pics.....

thanks to all for the compliments on my o's. i got lucky and what i think are my 2 nicest looking oscars have become a pair.

well its been a couple of days now and things are going according to plan. mom and dad are doing a great job in guarding and fanning the eggs and it doesnt look like they lost any to fungus or the other tankmates with them. dad just finished digging a pit for the fry when they hatch so i guess things are progressing smoothly.

heres a pic of the pit they dug for the expected arrivals.

Is it like with dogs, that all different combo's and colours can come out?
I think it's very exciting, I only breed Guppies but love to breed some real fish sometime.
