I dont know the sex of my two Oscars. I have a Yellow Oscar which i was told is a rare Oscar fish i dont know how true that is. He is all yellow with black trim along his fins. He is so awesome looking. And i have a Tiger Oscar. They both are babies Yellow is about 3.5in the tiger is growing fast he is about 4.5in. I was wondering can a yellow and a tiger mate? or a Tiger and a Red or albino. You know can any color mate with another? And if so how would the fry come out? Mixed colors some albino or do you have to mate the same kind to get a certain color?

All Oscars can breed with each other and if you have two different types, you will get a mixture of both and some of each. Yours does sound like a lemon O, I haven't seen any in the shops myself so I suppose they are fairly rare

Have you ever heard of a blueberry oscar? Looks like its light blue colored...there was one at a shop around here...I was concerned it might be one of those dyed fish but didn't know for sure.

Yeah thats what I figured because it didn't look all that healthy and I didn't know how they would even produce a blue...I wish people would stop doing this as well...its just cruel.

as long as it is a oscar and one of each sex (male & female) no matter what colour you have they can breed. as for what colour they will be if they did breed is anyone's guess.

some oscars are dyed to obtain certain colours. its a very un natural process and not nice for any fish. When purchasing different colours be certain to ask about dying. I am not implying yours is dyed but it is a possibility as you say its all yellow? that said coloured fish are being posted on the site all the time of striking coloured fish, hope yours is one of them )
