my water is; ammonia 0,nitrites 0, nitrates 5.0-10.0, ph 7.6, my approx. 10 month old oscar has begun to get a couple "pin" type "holes", in his forehead. he has not gone off his diet and has a pretty good diet infact, he eats pellets, krill,bloodworms,freeze dried shrimp and nightcrawelers.i could be just a worried dad but heres the pics someone please help!

It looks like sensory pits, but they look affected by HITH indeed.

Allthough it's starnge, for your teat results come out fine.
I gues some senior-mods will chime in with ideas.
Our fish don't grow too big, our tank becomes too small!

if you are referring to to the pin hole above the eyes... that is unusual.
my previous o have the same that triggers my large water change. unfortunately
i forgot to close the lid and the following morning, he was dead on the floor.
see the white spot above the head in the picture, that was a pin hole 1/2 inch deep.

i did some anatomy when he died, and it was just a deep pin hole but not a wound.
please take note also on the sudden change in color

so should i treat it as hith or keep a close eye on him? he hasn't changed his behavior any

without any change in behavior and keeping the water in perfect shape,
\i wouldn't worry much. i keep watching that hole with my fish for so long,
only to forget sliding the lid and he jump.
