Possibly very early stages but it's difficult to be absolutely sure about that. I would suggest that you make sure that your water is in very good condition, very low nitrates all the time. Feed your fish on a good quality food and if it is indeed early stages of hith, , you should nip it in the bud if you act now.

difficult to say from your pic but whatever the cause of the blemish excellent water conditions and a varied quality diet will aid in healing your oscar back to normal.....

Yep water parameters out of whack in the nitrate department, just came from a 2 week vacation, started water change 25%, increased temp and turned lights on.

x2 with the others, sometime HITH can affect the latural line too and shows up there. being you are on the ball and noticed it, a quick cure is easy by watching your water conditions.

Hes is getting only a diet of Massivore Delight so I guess i gotta change that up a bit with chiclid gold and stuff. Already did a 25% water parameter and hes happy Im finally home !!!
I see no holes or discoloration on the lateral lines just a tiny pinhole exactly in the middle of the sensory pit

Have you carried out any water tests yet? as long as your ammonia and nitrites are zero, and your nitrate doesn't exceed 40 ppm, there really is no reason why this suspected case of hole in the head shouldn't clear up reasonably quickly. It might not be hith, it could well be a superficial wound that will heal up nicely if the water is in good condition.
However, for your fish to develop this condition, they would normally have to be exposed to poor water conditions for quite a while, they don't normally develop it in good water conditions. Obviously a good diet is also paramount as a poor diet is thought to contribute to the condition as well.
A fast shutter speed will help you take good photographs of a fish, as soon as they move you often get a lot of blurred photos of your camera isn't particularly good.
