hi everyone

please help me my oscar fish is sick ... i got a large tank about 400 liters plenty of space for my fish ... i have got 2x 2inch baby oscars and i got 1 x 3inch oscar and i got 2 tinfoil barbs in my tank they got much room to swimin around and many plants to hide behind ... my barbs and 2 baby oscars are very happy and active always beging for food .. bout my 3inch oscar is not eating nothing seem to interest in i tryed prowns,hikari pallet, earchworm, bloodworm, he hasnt been eating for 2 days and hes got these little white dots on him all around he never swims he just stand in one place and not move at all he dosnt even move to see what kind of food i put in the tank bout other are jumping around for food and very active am scared incase i loose my oscar i love him 2 much please help me out here guys .. whats wrong with him i dont have any other tank to put him .. what is the best thing to do .. i only got him for 10 days he was very happy and active i got him few guppies to eat on the first week then after the guppies he never had anything to eat and day after day he got worse he just sinks at the buttom of the tank and not move no reaction wat so ever i put my hand in the tank try to catch him see if he moves he moved very fast and was very aware of whats happening bout then after he went back to the same place ..

am very worred for him please help me .

sounds like white spot. he may have cought it from the feeder fish, this is why alot of people on here dont like to give there fish feeder fish because they carry alot of diseases. if its white spot its easy to treat. you would be better posting photos of your oscar so people on here could give you a propper diagnose, is he rubbing up against things?

no he just dosnt move at all he dosnt rub against nothing he wont eat and wont move and the dots are very very small to see i dont think taking a picture will help becouse i was looking at him for an hr to notice the white dots they are very very small ... the thing is he wont each nothing this is wat worries me .. after the feeder fish he had some worms and prowns bout after that its been nearly 2/3 days dat he didnt have anything to eat and i dont know why he wont move at all .

the white dots deff sound like white spot. there are lots of guys on here with alot more knolege than me so ill leave it to them. im sure they will give you gr8 advise very soon. good luck

It sounds like white spot. can you post a picture please. a clear shot if poss. also take a look at this link and try to find a similar diseased fish. if it turns out to be white spot raise the temp to 30c should take care of it.

you are way over stocked and will soon run into trouble. 3 oscars will need 150g+ with other fish. what looks like a lot of room will soon turn into water condition problems for you and territory fighting for the oscars.

you got your fish a few days ago (10 days)? IS THAT RIGHT?
i assumed you haven't cycled yet your tank.... and your
fish is suffering from new tank syndrome...

You have several problems

The most pressing is you have white spot. Either get a white spot treatment or turn the temp up to 30c and leave it there for 6 days after you have seen the last spot

The second is you have far too many fish in your tank. Rehome all the fish except 2, if you dont your water quality will go bad and your fish will get ill and more than likely die
