I got a Albino Tiger Oscar and a black Tiger Oscar about 6 months ago. I got a 110gallon tank. I do 25% water changes every Sunday. But before I knew to do all that, I had ammonia problems.My ammonia got upto an 8!! And now my black Oscar isn't growing, he has white spots all over and is acting strange.At first the white spots looked as if he had a scale missing.Now it looks like wounds that are white.And he's now getting smaller white spots on his belly and tail area. His belly looks as if its shredded. It's just getting worse and worse.We been using Melafix, Aqua Salt to try to treat him, without hurting other fish.He hasn't grown much at all, he is half the size of the Albino and we got them same place same time.They were already in the tank together.After our ammonia scare, we got them the 110 gal tank and he started getting better, eating his blood worms and pellets and all of a sudden he is getting sick again. He sitting at bottom of tank when he normally more at top. And not eating in last 2 days. And I think those white spots got worse. We have the good test kit with the liquids and tubes. All our water levels have been great.Any advice? Im going to post his pics on here in a sec. And I got a short video of his breathing I'm going to see if I can post that too. His belly looks like its shredding because his skin kind of looks like it has Ich and with him on the bottom of tank it looks like the rocks on bottom are doing that to his soft belly. his skin looks really tender. He has so many things happening to him it's hard to tell you every thing. So look for his pics I'm going to figure out how to get them on here.

I will wait for the pics. can you please post those test results. also if you cant work out how to post those pics describe the white spots. size/ texture /raised or flat. please. the results and pics will be most helpfull.

Nitrate 10. and it's normally lower than that, it actually lower but i round up. Ammonia 0.25-0.5 Nitrite 0 PH 7.0-7.2 We do 25% water changes every week using aqua safe to remove chlorines.

When they were babys in a smaller tank I did water changes with bottles of distilled water and they did great. but now with a 110gal tank i dont know where to get THAT much distilled water at once. So we now use Aqua Safe to treat tap water

not as bad as i was expecting. I am not 100% sure but it looks like fight or abrasion damage. is it flat to the skin or more like cotton wool? you have some ammonia/nitrites present have these been any higher over the last few wks? with damaged fish and the presence of ammonia/nitrite you run the risk of fungus.

Yes, it is absolutely imperative that we know you ammonia and nitrite readings as poor water conditions can contribute to disease and illness. Is the fish breathing heavily? What about all the other fish, how is their breathing?

If these are abrasions/injuries then they should heal up, they shouldn't just stay like that, or get worse. If they are not healing up then there could be some kind of bacterial or fungal infection stopping it from healing.
