So my oscar swallowed my pleco. I think its stuck and I dont want the oscar to die. Is there anyway to get it?

You will have to take the Oscar out of the tank and remove it manually. Have you got a pair of tweezers, or maybe some needle nose pliers?

This could mean your fishes mouth is now damaged or locked open....How far open is it?

If the plec is stuck then you are going to have to perform a difficult operation but quickly. The plec 'fins' are spiny and are likely to be stuck into your oscars mouth. so you need to remove the plec.

You will need scissors (preferably long thin ones) and long nose pliers (various sizes) Get a wet towel and lay it on a flat surface. Catch the oscar and wrap him in another wet towel with just the head poking out. You then need to cut the fins of the plec and then pull the body out (dont worry the plec is going to be dead by now)

Now you dont want to cut your oscar but you need to be quick, if you havent succeeded after 2-3 mins put the oscar back and wait 10 mins and then try again. You dont want to this too many times because you will stress the oscar.
