As some of you already know i have a tiger Oscar and a albino tiger Oscar. I got them at the same time same store and they are always with each other swimming in the tank witch i would see as normal. Well when i got off work last night i came home found them fighting so i threw food in each side of my tank and they swam off and ate. When i went and check on them this morning. The black Oscar has some looks like bite marks on his upper lip between his eyes and the Albino Oscar(who i think lost) has some cuts on his bottom lip with some skin hanging off. Today they have been very seems like scared of me..

Any ideas on what i should do? i will get some picture soon so someone can tell me if i should treat them or not but they seem to be in good health still..they are swimming around the tank and acting like normal ex-sept when i come in the room.(i can see them though the angles on the door and watch them)

I think it's a case of monitor the situation and then decide what to do. Oscars often do fight among themselves, nine out of 10 it's nothing to worry about. However, there are situations where the fighting is so bad, the only alternative is to split them up. I'm not in favour of dividers unless they are only temporary.

Yeah i didnt think it was a huge problem thats is i believe there first fight that has resulted in injury. They still seem to be friends swimming together, eating together and picking on the plecos together still.

Oscars do fight sometimes when they are growing up although it is rare when they are full grown if they have been bought up together. They are probably sorting out the pecking order. As long as they do it only occasionally i wouldnt worry about it. It can look like they are fighting when they are getting ready to breed but i have no experience of this. It is a good sign that your fish are not at it constantly and that they are swimming around together. How big are you oscars

As for treating the tank you can add an anti bacterial or something that treat sores but it is probably unnecessary unless the injuries are bad/large. Oscars will heal surprisingly quickly if the water conditions are good, ammonia and nitrite 0 and nitrate ideally below 20 but below 40 will do. If in doubt up your water changes

My O's are 7 or 8 months old. There about 7-8 inches long, I believe they are both male(as i haven't seen any bald spots in my sand. I got them both at the same time from the same tank when they were little over an inch.

Yesterday i came home and my O's were on fighting again but ounce i turned the aquarium light on they stoped and were compleatly fine with each other. I took some pictures today beacuse to me they looked prity banged up and i would like some suggestions on medication or water treatment to make them heal better.

I really don't want to seperate them but if thats what must be done please let me know.

I am not sure what medication to use... but the tigers color indicates that he looks pretty stressed... Maybe now that they are reaching the end of their maturity they are deciding that they do not really like to be around one another. I am not the most versed in this. But I know that when my tiger turns that color (not black but more grey/tan/brown faded color) it is because he is stressed out.
Hi.

The tiger is a little light in colour. You said your fish looked a little 'banged up'. They are not banged up, they have what i can only dscribe as a few scratches. Thats minor stuff. If it gets loads worse then you will have to do something about it. Medication isnt necessary if your water quality is good but if you want to add some, use the stuff that treats wounds
