I recently moved my two Oscar's from the 20 gallon tank they had been in, into their new 55 gallon home. I don't know if it is because of the change in scenery but the two of them barley eat now, and they wont go onto the side of the tank with the large piece of drift wood. guess i'm just wondering if it is normal for them to act like this when getting moved, or if their is something wrong. And help you guys could give would be great.

Thanx again, Nate

well, firstly, 55 gallons is not really big enough for two Oscars. How big are the Oscars? The first thing you need to do is the water test, ammonia, nitrite, nitrates and pH. Fish often stop eating if the water conditions are not right.

Oscars often get funny and sulk when put in a new tank or even if you change the scenery in an existing tank so it may be this, if so they will get back to normal after a few days. When you get the store to test the water ask for the actual results and post on here

I would advise getting you own test kits (the bottle sort not the strips) and test your water every week. This will act as an early warning for you if things start to go wrong
