I have had my albino O for about 7 months now and he eats, swims, ... and bites fine... a few months ago his bottom fins turned a black /grey color... i administered the jungle funus clear tablets and have on a regular basis since then... he doesnt seem to be bothered by the color change. I recently moved him up from a 15 gallon tank to a 30 gallon tank and i had decided maybe it was fine was just getting way too worried about it but here in the last week the eys spot on his tail has changed to the same color, Could he be changing color or does anyone know what this might be i have checked several other forums on sites such as yahoo where they have encountered a similar problem but no one seems to know what it is or if it is detrimental. Plz HELp?

I'm sorry, but I'm not sure supposed to be looking at. maybe you can post some more photos and indicate where the problem is. Can I also ask you to reduce the size of the photos, they are extremely large which means you've got to scroll across the page to read the post which is rather annoying

I think i know what you are talking about. It the black on the edge of the fins. This is perfectly normal for albinos. If fact some can have it on the body and makes them look dirty

What you do have to worry about it your tank size. It is far too small, you need a 55g at least for one oscar. You need to get a bigger one asap or your oscar will end up with lots of problems.

In the meantime what you need to do is get a testing kit. Test for ammonia, nitrite and nitrate. If the result for ammonia and nitrite are not zero then you will need more filtration. You need to keep nitrate below 40, the lower the better. If the nitrate goes above 40 then you will need to increase the amount and how often you change water
I can't get no sleep
