i recently posted about my badly injured Oscar. Well he was attacked again because the other Oscar jumped the divider i got. Now he is dead. He died about two days ago. Now the Oscar that attacked him stopped eating and just lies at the bottom of the tank. He is very weak from no food. This morning he was stuck to the intake to the filter so i helped him off. He is still alive but won't eat and i think he is going to starve to death. I don't know what to do so i would appreciate any suggestions.

THANX

unfortunately, it's very difficult to suggest what might help you in this situation. Have you tested the water? you want to test for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and pH. The ammonia and nitrite are the ones that will cause most problems in many cases so make sure that they are both zero. As for why your Oscar won't eat, I'm afraid that's a $64,000 question I can't possibly answer.

Test your water and give us the results. Check the temperature of the tank as well

This is where talking to a vet is wise. Even if he doesn't know a lot about fish, you could probably help you with the medication.

Go to wherever you get your fish supplies from and see what kind of fungal medications they sell. Look at the ingredients and see if they contain what I put on here. It is worth trying fungal medications just to see if they do work. The problem is, to treat something successfully, you really need to know what you are dealing with.. In an ideal world, a sample would be taken of the fungus from your fish, the correct medication could be administered them. In most cases, we have stood by medication and hope that it just works.

Like I said, have a look at the medications your fish store sell, try one of them and see if it works. If it doesn't work and it keeps getting worse, you need to seek professional help
