Hi, looks to me like another fungus, prob cos poor water conditions,or temperature as you say you were away. The cause will need addressing as well as the fungus itself. 1st test water or take sample to a shop, whats the result? 2nd if conditions are bad do a 50% water change making sure the water you replace is the same temerature as the tank (between 74-78f is good) take out any carbon in filter then add a treatment. I would add Interpet #8 fungus treatment but others are good too.. Add the amount of treatment for your tank size and wait 7days or as instructions on box. If the problem is still there after 7days, 30% water change then retreat. If you need to do a water change within the 7day wait, make sure you add the right amount of treatment to the clean water to keep treatment at correct amount. Good luck

If it is furry like cotton wool it is almost certainly fungus. As marcus said the cause may be poor water quality. Any fungicide will do the trick. Your fish should recover from this. If you have your own testing kit can you test the water and post the results please, results should be ammonia 0, nitrite 0 and nitrate below 40. I would do a 50% water change then add the treatment. My person opinion when adding any treatment is to do a water change at least 20% everyday, dont forget to redose with the treatment
