there is some kinda white scum on the top of my oscars tank what is it and will it hurt him i did give him some tap water from the house i dident think it wud harm him than i got to worried and stuck some normal water like a jug and it seems to have less but comes back wut do i do!!!!!

the white scum could possibly be a fungal algae condition that is often caused by overfeeding and not removing uneaten food. Would this be a possibility in your case, don't worry, many people in a feed without realizing it. Try to choose feeding, to cover of extra water changes and see if the white scum start reducing

Well it seems to go away becuse's i havent fed him to day so it seems to be going down but green algea is going every were i shudent be scered of that also shud i?

Do more freaquent water changes say 3 times a week for a couple weeks,in my opinion.!! To be honest water changes do solve most water conditions,feed alot less feed once a day for the two weeks.Others may say different im just saying what i would do..

What are you feeding your fish. When i feed them frozen fish i sometimes get a film on the top but it soon goes, I am guessing it is oil from the fish

Increased water agitation will help for the time being... what's your filtration and tank size?
