my oscar "the grouch" lol has this white line accross the top of the fins. hes had this for 2 months now. water cond are good (tested with api master kit) he seems happy but i think the line is getting bigger. its hard to tell if its growing with him or spreading. i have treated the tank before with pimafix but it didnt go away so i ASSUMED that was just part of his color... but now idk... heres some pics

Does it look like a growth in any way? Difficult to say really, I couldn't really see anything from the photo. Just keep an eye on it for another week or two. If it's anything nasty, I'm pretty sure it will be quite obvious.

its not fuzzy nor does it stick out. the rest of his fins look good. ill just have ot keep an eye on it and his buddy i guess. thanks

my one of my oscers has had this for a few weeks now and he is fine there is no change in him at all unless it gets fury or like a growth he should be fine

If this does start to get nasty what kinds of meds should i buy? do i raise temps? an other words what do i do? i just want to be ready incase this does get worse. thanks

I think its most likely nothing and I think its the fish has been brushing its fin against something. my clown loach lay under a rock and the fins sometimes look like yours. it heals with no treatment. but if it dose start to look worst try to post a clear pic of the fin, i know its hard)). most likely would be fin rot or fungus and interpet no 8 would treat both these problems. If it was this it would be clear there was a problem( Fin frayed, torn,boold steaked,opaque or wool like growths??)just keep an eye on it.

That white line on the edge of the fin is perfectly normal and nothing to worry about, i have seen it many times before on some of my fish and loads is shops
