well he has had these white spots for about a week or so now and they are only on the part of him were you can see them on the picture. they are on the other side aswell but it is more of a patch on the other side. any ideas what it is?

sorry about the pic but he is very active tonight lol. you can actually see the spots real well on the left of the pic though:)

My first red Oscar had something almost identical. I think it just went away in the end without the need for medication. If I was going to hazard a guess, it looks a bit fungal. Try a fungal medication and see if that helps.

i was thinking fungel. i had a molly with this a while ago and it did just go away eventually.
if it gets worse or seems to annoy him i will treat it but it doesnt seem to at the moment..

Oscars can get these spots on the fins. They dont seem to be a problem and often go away on there own. My personal opinion is they are something to do with thickening of the fin, similar to some skin problems people get
