I had a clay pot with the bottom cut out in my tank that my catfish would swim through. The other day i noticed that my white Oscar was in there and it looked like he had been trying to swim through. The Oscar is to big to fit through the pot so i was a little worried. I removed the pot from the tank and saw scratches all over the Oscar. It looked like it had been trying to go through and was scrapping his self. At first he was just saying at the bottom, but its been about 3 days now and it looks like he is starting to peel. He swims around more only at the bottom now and i haven't noticed him really eat. I have two other large Oscars, its a 150 gallon tank, and I'm worried that they might try to bother him during his healing process. He looks a lot better than he did but I'm still worried. Is there anything i should do to help him and will he recover fine.

Please help with advice.....

It could be just a bit of dead skin coming off. The first thing we always ask
people to do is test the water for ammonia, nitrites, nitrate and pH. if your water is in good condition
in good condition, There is no reason my your fish shouldn't recover fully
