i have a 2.5" oscar and its got like a small lump above its eye and not sure if its anything to worry about.
i have had the oscar about 2 months now and never noticed it before.
he is a very quiet fish and doesnt eat as much as i think he should, at feed times he will come up have 1 pellet then go down in a corner and thats it, so all he eats is 2 pellets a day and not growing as fast as my other 3 so i have put him in another tank untill he will fight for his food.
i have checked my water and stats are:
ammonia 0
nitrites 0
nitrates 15
ph 7.6



any ideas about feeding and his eye plz.

as for feeding i would say try a more mixed diet. Earth worms from your garden,muscles,prawns,grass hopper,meal worms, but also keep up the pellets. Pellets are fine and are about 60% of my fish diet. The rest is a wide mix.

The lump on eye isnt very clear and I know to well how hard it can be to get a close up but please keep trying. It could be many things, most likely its an infection and may clear by itself or it could well be a tumor. the fact your fish is shy and under sized makes it very likely its damage from another fish thats infected. you could try a vet but its very costly. at worst it could be a tumor that will keep growing. I would suggest you keep a close watch on it. if it starts to become red,sore and open wound looking you could try "Melafix" or any good all round antiseptic treatment.

Your waters in good condition and if you keep it this way its probably the best you could do.
