Ok so here's the problem.
we had to move house which meant moving our oscar to the caravan temporarily.
at one point I wasn't able to get there to feed him for about 2-3 days. when i finally got there i tried to feed him with no success. so i did an immediate water change, but it made no difference. Please help my oscar isn't like this usually he is a total pig. He looks acts and behaves like normal even coming to the glass to be fed like normal but when he gets the food in his mouth he just spits it out. His main diet is a mixture of beefheart and vegetables.

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!

Regards:unsure:

This is very common with Oscars. Unfortunately, we are not quite sure why they suddenly stop eating. In many cases, the water is fine, the fish seems in good health, it just refuses to eat. Please check the following link.

Vegetables and Beefheart are not really a suitable main diet. Get some good quality pellets and try them with your Oscar. I can recommend Hikari Cichlid and some of the tetra range, my Oscars absolutely adore the dorimin food sticks. Check your water conditions and temperature of water. Also, please carry out a water test and give us the results.

you mean the oscar tank travel with the caravan?
in the duration of traveling, the oscar experienced
stress. they can feel the changes in environment and
orientation. perhaps, that is the culprit. give him a
little time to adjust, in no time, he will eat as usual.
just keep water parameter under check.
