Hi ProudDad, this site has a pretty good article on treating Ich -

www.oscarfishlover.com/helpful-articles/whitespot

Don't put this fish with others, ich is infectious (highly infectious).

I've used the heat method to deal with ich(my catfish wouldn't much like medicine or salt) and I haven't lost a fish to it yet - catching it early is the key.

Thank You Nina. I Read the entire Article but I am SO LOST! I'm not sure what to do. When looking at her it appears like little Bubbles on her, but you have to be up real close! I did the ultimate NO NO then, I Put her in the Tank as soon as we arrived home. She is in a tank with my Felix, and a Plecko. Neither of them are showing sign of Ick, in saying that I'm not sure she has Ick or not. All i'm saying is she has what looks like Droplets of water all around her when you get up close. She did not look like that in the Fish Store or I wouldn't have Bought her. I gave her a very Thorough looking at.

Can you post a pic? That would help a lot in diagnosing whether it's ick or not.

You can also try to turn off your tank lights and use a flashlight on her. If the little spots shines or looks like grain of salts, then there's a good chance it's an ick.

I would ask you to please create a new thread for this.

Will help keep the board and this thread less cluttered and help you to track your specific thread.

Oh wow that fish needs help :(
Did that big sore on its head appear suddenly?
It looks too `fresh` to be HITH, more like a big wound..
What are you doing to help him?

If you want more help you can start your own thread if you like, more people will see it that way.

to me, that looks like either bad bullying or columnaris. Start a new thread. In your new thread post tank size, tank mates, water parameters (if you can) upkeep routine.

If it's bullying, you need to get this fish its own home and heal it up with lots of clean water and some anti-fungal treatment.

If it's columnaris, the advice will be for some powerful fish anti-biotics. I strongly suggest you go and speak to a vet if you don't live in a country where you can get maracyn and maracyn 2 over the counter. Especially if this happened quickly!

BUT! Any advice given without the full information is suspect at best. Start a new thread, give us all the info.
