My con just all of a sudden started lyn on side and is taken short gasp of breath and swims to the top and kind of falls slowly to the bottom ... Is he dien? Could It be swimbladder? My nirites and ammiona our 0 my nitrates around 10-20 but my oscar is fine acting normal help and if it is swimbaldder should I put him to end??

i first would put him in half bucket of tankwater and ABSOLOUTELY PUMP IT FULL OF AIR!!!!!!!!!!!! even if you get a hoze and blow through it for 20-30 mins and get an air stone in there with an air pump going !!!!!!!!!!!! BOMBARD HIM WITH AIR FIRST !!!!!! then top the bucket up with fresh dechlorinated water if he starts to improve !!!!!!!!BUT YOU MUST ACT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Update b4 I got to try ur sugg. He was dead it just happen outta nowere.. I only had him about aweek Nd a half :sad:

I actually had just checked dem about2 hrs b4 he died everything checked out good ( api freshwater test kit) everyone seem ok todayevery ones eatting normal aswell

Sorry for your loss. Things like this can happen any day. That's why it's a good idea to quarantine newly acquired fish. In Freshwater, a couple of weeks or even 10 days usually suffice.

Maybe that particular specimen was sick or just weak (poor diet, or high nitrate exposure for too long) and couldn't handle the stress. Not likely your fault.
