Hi guyz!

I've had an oscar and some silver dollar in my 110g tank.. after appx 1-2 wks upon the arrival of my tank my brother and i noticed several white worm like things that started creeping from the edges (inside the aquarium specifically in the sealant). at first you would actually not notice it but if you actually closely look at it the small thing is moving. i took a picture of it but as i said it is small that it was not noticeable in the pictures so i did not mind to put the pictures. does anybody have an idea of what is it and how would i be able to eradicate them.. tnx in advanced guyz... More than likely it is planerian which is a free swimming parasite that often gets into fish tanks on plants, Rock etc. The rule of thumb is if they are not on your face then there's nothing to worry about.

Eradicating them often means stripping the whole tank and filtration system down because you probably only need one left in the tank for them to start breeding again.

You could try harvesting them manually just to keep numbers down. If you reduce feeding for a week or two, that might also reduce the numbers because they will increase in numbers if there's lots of food going in and not being eaten by the fish.
