On the basic level you can try changing the water or keeping this oscar in a separate tank.
With the tank water testing kit.. you might wanna check the water chemicals.. the PH level, ammonia etc...
you might wanna add hard salt/ sea salt to the tank with new water.. it was worked a lot for me..

try this much till another more experienced member replies.. or OFL

hope this works.. i am praying for him as well..

Without taking a smear and having it tested it is not easy to diagnose what could be wrong. However it could well be a bacterial or parasitic skin infestation. It is also very important that you test your water for ammonia, nitrate, nitrates and pH. Without knowing what the water conditions are make it difficult for us to help any further.

First off, change your water. It sounds like it's dirty. Second off, take a picture and show. Until then, turn the tank's temp up a couple degrees and perhaps add some pimafix if you have some.

Cheers,
Art

slimy body with white spot is a sign of water problem.
slime is the first defense against skin irritation. not
knowing the water parameter will be difficult to analyz
the possible cause.

a picture would likewise help us help you.
