Hi, i have recently gotten back from 8 months holiday, during that time a friend took my oscars to her place. I have just gotten them back but am worried that the move has stressed them out too much. It has been two days now and they havent eaten. I have left the lights off and the tank i have them in has been cycled and the water treated(with stress coat) and heated to the same temperature she had them at and added some water from the tank they were in. How long will it take them to readjust to the new environment? Also one of them has severe hith and i have been reading through the forum but not sure what treatments for this are available in australia? Thank-you

as long as your water parameters are in good shape they should be out and about shortly for you.
as for treating hith the first thing you need to do is keep your nitrates down below 20 at all times. make sure you feed a healthy, varied diet and keep your wate in pristine condition.(i know i said it again but it is of the utmost importance)

if you could post your water readings it would help in giving suggestions on future treatments.

unless the filter was running the whole time in a tank WITH fish in it .......you wont be cycled unfortunately

It is the same noodles in the filter, just put in new sponge stuff. Is there anything i can do, or will it just fix itself up? They are two big oscars, one about 11inches and the other one about 9.5inches. Thank-you
