So it seems that we dont get along. I already had my 2 african cichlids before i got my little buddy oscar. one blue and one yellow. now mr blue guy is the boss of my tank. there is no questioning it. He got the attitude. now yellow fish knows this and stays clear of blue fish (hides behind the filter). when i got oscar obviously he didnt know we had a (pecking order) happening in the tank. WELL HE KNOWS NOW. He looks like he is decaying. fins are getting thinned out. I am asuming that this is because of blue fish. Cuz i have seen him kinda nip at oscar. so obviously i am worried because i only have the one tank. i know its small (29 gallon) however the fish are small too. I DO PLAN TO GET A BIGGER TANK ASAP. But that isnt happening today. I will be posting a pic tonight. I still need to take it. However ADVICE AWAY PLEASE. I thought the oscar was supposed to become the boss of the tank? That was what i was told when i got him. If he dies I will take mr blue out of the tank (with my hands) and spank him. :angry:

I am so sorry your kids are being naughty! Bring me the cichlid and I will keep him for you!

I have made the drive from GA before and it's not fun!
I have several cichlids that are by far more evil than my O's.
Have you checked Craigslist for a tank in your area, I have bought several off of there cheap!

if i am correct all you have to do is put the offending fish in a net or baggy to seperate the fish from all others but so it can watch as it's territory is taken over.. bgh would have to tell you how long to leave the fish in the bag as i cannot remember... but in any case thats what i remember reading
