It's gross but I lifted the hood to feed my oscars and discovered lil maggots wat is goin on?

It could be from insects laying eggs or too much food particles that may have splashed onto the hood.

Its a ten yr old tank anf hood but I cleaned off hood

maggots can only thrive when there is the egg laying fly and there is decaying flesh food...
without the food, maggot won't live long..

Are they definitely maggots? If so, how big? Maybe you could take a picture, just out of curiosity. I don't think there's a problem that is going to give cause for concern. It could be something to do with a lot of moisture buildup. It's easy to suggest that food is attracting the flies. Having said that, it's not that easy to accidentally drop food into this area, unless you are particularly clumsy. That's why I asked if they were maggots. Maggots that come from your regular health fly will be quite big from the tiny little flies would produce a tiny little maggots I would think.

I may not always be right, but I am always the BOSS :-)

Ok went to lift my hood again and there was lil maggots again wtf I have dne 75% water change and I put new filter in I just hope it won't harm my fish. So ? Is will they harm my fish?

i am just wondering... maggots in the hood and your line of action is water change!
i can not comprehend the relation unless your hood is submerge to the water LOL!
