This is my brothers red oscar he got 2 weeks ago. It was in his 55 gallon tank with a IR catfish. He got it a week ago and didnt notice a scar next to his head. He didnt know wat HITH was. i brought the oscar to my tank cuz i do a regular water change and diet. Please dont be hith




I couldn't get good photos, he kept moving alot...

P.S. He swims ok and eats as well.

from the photo it looks like abrasions to me. keep his water in good condition and it should heal up in a few days.
Warning..I will offend you at some point!!!

thanks for the quick reply necro. im really worried here. i did a huge water change an hr ago 40%-50%. i just hope nothing is wrong with him

I agree with Necro, your oscar has bashed himself on something, I've seen that many many times on my oscars, don't worry it should heal up within a few days.

i may be late but i want to post my opinion....
the picture shows it is just a cut,.... not hith.
it will heeal in time... just keep the water under
check....

BTW.. Is that an Red oscar or a Tiger oscar. Iv seen alot of red oscars with full orange covering their head aswell. or is he just young?
