Nathan93 created the topic: Mark on my oscar? Help

I have two oscar fish, one of them has this mark on him, it seems as though some of he's scales have come off and there seems to be a bruise type colour around it. I have tested the water quality and its fine comparing it to levels on the site, and there are no sharp objects in the tank that could of done it. Out of the two he is the biggest and the other is half he's size. I did do a water change, and then it appeared the day after, could the heater burn him? i have since put a rock in front of the heater just in case. I am quite worried about it, should i get antibiotics?.

I have made the photo my profile picture because i have no idea how to add the photo's of it to this chat room

From what I can see doesn't look too bad. However, the photo isn't that great so I would need to see a larger photo. If you go to Google and type in "photo bucket" you will find our website where you can upload photos for free. You can then use the provided code to put the photo into your message.

If it's not getting any worse than I shouldn't worry about it. It's when things deteriorate, that's only got to worry. To be honest, I don't think you've anything to worry about at all, you'll find that will disappear within a few weeks.
