here it is i set up a 3ft tank for my kids in our conservatory 6 days later you can not the inside of the tank its looke like grass its that bad i now sun light promotes growth but this is crazy any one got any ideas that will resolve the problem my other tanks have never suffered so ive never come across this before if it is a quick fix i apolagise for being dimmm! thanx

I keep a pleco algae eater and he keeps things under control, they get big though. Try Jungles anti algae, the Jungles brand works well.
If you can't beat them...arrange to have them beaten!

its due to light exposure ....and nothing else im afraid ...put a towel over it in the day ad uncover it at night....only 4 hours of tube light in 24 and a week or 2 and it will be gone ....but you will have to keep the light down to pevent more growth

if you can not avoid too much sunlight, increasing the volume or lateral surface of the filtering media will help control the algae. i have done it with my other tank. no algae until now even if exposed to sunlight.
