Difficult to say what is wrong since your other Oscar is behaving normally and you say your water conditions are okay. Are you sure that the little Oscar is not getting bullied?

Have you tested for nitrate? probably a good idea if you haven't. Also, check the oscars breathing, is it laboured, or normal? rapid gill movement and opening and closing of the mouth constantly could be a sign of problems. Unfortunately I can't really help you any further at the moment as the information you have given us isn't a cause for concern. If the water was in poor condition, then we would have something to go on. The best thing you can do it as keep an eye on the Oscar, if this carries on.

thanks for the reply no the oscar isnt getting bullied from what i can see you mentioned rapid gill movement well yes there is very rapid movement of the gills, and i havent tested for nitrate when i take a sample up my local shop they say they dont need to check for nitrate in tropical water but now youve said it i will certainly get that tested.
hopefully by what ive replied you can give me some suggestion.

again thankyou for the reply.

ive had too edit this message because after doing this message by having a close look at my oscar ive noticed that the tail and fins look like there, i dont know how too put it, id say slowly eaten away preety much the same way insects eat leaves could it be some kind of infestation mmmm please help.

can you get a pic of the fins?

to me it sounds like fin rot cant you'll need to post a pic to be sure.
do you have any other fish with your O'S?
If your sure the other O is bulling him and eating his fins, then it may be another fish (if you have one)
other pets are my colt (Freddo Frog), my staffy (Tank) and my boxer x,(Steph)

ouch... it very difficult to evaluate your concern.
with perfect water parameters, your fish should not
have problem. if the fish is being bullied, the more
it would not stay in the bottom. what is your diet for
them?

what kind of catfish do you have because there are some types of cat fish like shovel nose for instance that can be pretty aggressive at night time????
